“EGNATIA ODOS S.A.” with its permanent staff and in cooperation with external consultants and specialists for ad-hoc activities, is in a position to perform techno-economic and financial analyses of the feasibility and viability of road projects for their financing by international financing institutions.
The cost-benefit analysis, consists of comparative consideration of investment and operating costs of the road project under study and of the quantified benefits expected for the society and the road users, as well as for the infrastructure owner and operator, coming from the improvement of the geometrical and operational characteristics of the new infrastructure, through the reduction of vehicle operating costs, running times and accidents, the creation of toll revenues etc. Additionally, and based on the estimated demand and the desirable level of service, the analysis includes the investigation and processing of various, appropriately dimensioned, technical solutions, which would optimize the return of investment.
Already during the last two years, “EGNATIA ODOS S.A.” has carried out relevant feasibility studies for two projects on Pan-European Corridor X in Serbia and North Macedonia, which will be implemented with co-financing from the European Investment Bank and the Hellenic Plan for the Economic Reconstruction of the Balkans (Hi.P.E.R.B.) of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
